CamerAlert offers a comprehensive Speed and Red Light Camera warning system using data sourced from the esteemed PocketGPSWorld.com Speed Camera Database. It delivers both audible and visual alerts as you approach a camera. Notably, in areas with SPECs (Average Speed) cameras, CamerAlert displays your average speed between each camera in the zone. Moreover, CamerAlert utilizes directional information to minimize "False Alerts"; you only receive warnings for cameras that monitor your direction of travel.

CamerAlert features two distinct modes: Map and List. In Map mode, the primary display showcases a map with camera locations marked on it, available in either "North Up" or "Course Up" orientations. On the other hand, List mode presents a list of all cameras in the vicinity, emphasizing those approaching your position.

COMPATIBILITY: CamerAlert necessitates an Android GPS-capable device; it will not operate on a device lacking a GPS connection since accurate positioning relies on a GPS receiver. The moving map functionality requires a data connection; therefore, users without data capabilities will need to run the app in list mode unless they can access data via a MiFi or similar external data device. CamerAlert is compatible with all Android devices running OS 1.5 or higher.
